Saturn in Fifth House

Saturn: If Saturn is lord of the 5th or in the 5th, of the sect, and dignified or received, then this is one of the better indicators of being in control of one's finances and for making sound investments. This isn't the best placement for Saturn though, because fun just isn't in Saturn's vocabulary, neither is speculation or gambling, so any risk taking is likely to bring negative consequences. Even with the best expression of Saturn, spontaneity is likely to be a problem. Saturn functions best here by being very conservative in these matters. You are also likely to run into unreasonable opposition from others who do not want you to show your talents, especially if you are gifted in the arts. If you have children, they are likely to be very serious in temperament, or few in number, possibly an only child. It is also possible that it is an indication that the first born is destined to greatness. However, if Saturn is out of sect, then see if the sign governing this place is a water sign. If so there may be children with the help of science, if you so desire, but there is naturally a tendency toward barrenness. If Saturn is also afflicted while out of sect, all of the above tends to take a turn for the worse. The key to overcoming these difficulties lies in being conscious; overcoming any agnoia of what you produce and its effects upon others.
