Sun in Second House

Sun: If the lord of the 2nd is the Sun, in sect, or the Sun is in the 2nd house, and well dignified and received you are likely to have a steady income and to have trouble hiding your resources from others, in fact you may not want to. This is another indicator for sales and for those who work in exports, the stock market, or foreign trade particularly if the lord of this place (the Sun) is in the 3rd or 9th house. Generosity is likely, and you may benefit from the resources of your father. If the Sun is afflicted or debilitated, then there may be those who seek to take advantage of your generosity and you have a hard time calling your posessions your own. Without reception, the native tends not to benefit from the fortunes of the father, if also afflicted the native may be raised by the mother without the father's support. If the native's self esteem suffers, then it is likely there will be a showcasing of what one owns as a way of lifting one's status in the eyes of others. The problem is that often this creates opportunities for others to take advantage of your resources in ways you would not approve of. The basic lesson is that this individual must learn not to identify one's ego or sense of self worth with what or how much one has.
