Venus in Ninth House
© 2000 Curtis Manwaring [ << ] [ >> ]
Venus: If Venus is lord of the 9th or in the 9th house and dignified or received, then philanthropic tendencies may be present. Venus then becomes a sign that you are more popular away from home. The old saying that a prophet is never well received in their own land is especially true here. Higher education is frequently pleasant, but you should watch lazyness in your studies. Frequently belief systems and way of thinking are more wholistic and less analytical and there is a strong appeal to elegant solutions. If Venus is debilitated or afflicted then it is indicative of a cultural conflict and a socially awkward pleasantness among foreigners if traveling abroad. Sometimes it indicates involvement in obligatory religious practices, particularly if it is Saturn that is involved. If Mars is the planet aspecting, in extreme cases it is indicative of sacred sexual rites and religious practices.
